Welcome to the University Hospital Islet Transplant Program. Thr islet cell transplant program is different from the procedure we offer. This whole transplant program uses an outside donor system. University Hospital performed its first islet transplant in November 2001 and is one of only of five programs in the United States to perform this type of procedure. Health Alliance Transplants; offering 30 years of successful organ transplants, including heart, liver, kidney, pancreas, and islet cells.
